How can you keep up with what's going on in social studies education when limited personal or school funds and COVID uncertainties make face-to-face social studies professional learning limited or non-existent? Nothing replaces the experience and excitement of interacting with fellow social studies teachers with similar interests, but the next best thing is membership in the Georgia Council for the Social Studies (GCSS), your state social studies professional organization.
For only $40 a year you'll receive the following membership benefits (does not include 2021 GCSS Virtual Conference Registration):
For $90.00 you will receive 2021-2022 GCSS membership benefits and 2021 GCSS Virtual Conference Registration. There are reduced rates for students and retirees.

GCSS members will be sent a link to the archived 2020 Virtual Conference sessions.

Members will have opportunities to network with colleagues across the state through the 2020-2021 virtual sessions. Members will also receive bi monthly email reminders of social studies happenings across the state.
The Regional and State Social Studies Fairs will be cancelled for 2021-2022. GCSS plans to resume these fairs in 2022-2023.
